Maxxon Two Man Self Bailer Review

The Maxxon Two Man Self Bailer is a rugged two man kayak that was first released in 2010 and is backed by a 5-year bow to stern warranty. Those who are interested in purchasing a new kayak but are unsure about an inflatable model because of the fear of it tearing need worry no more. Maxxon have tested this kayak tough kayak in all types of waters over hundred and hundreds of hours and stand firmly behind their product.

Built with two people in mind, the Maxxon Two Man Self Bailer has two high-support adjustable seats and will hold up to 550 pounds at any one time. That should be more than enough for two fully grown adults as well as some equipment such as camping gear, diving gear or even a picnic. However, if you do wish to travel solo then this can be achieved very easily by simply moving the seating to the solo position.

The kayak itself is made from 1,100 denier 32 oz PVC fabric on the outside and triple reinforced 3,300 denier 36 oz PCV material on the bottom of the kayak. This is what gives the kayak such a sturdy frame and is why Maxxon believes in the design so much. On the kayak you will also find two spring loaded military valves, two rubber handles, fourteen D-rings, bungee deck lacing and dry storage space to keep items from being soaked.

Also included with the Maxxon Two Man Self Bailer are two rugged 210 cm 2pc aluminium shaft paddles with straight/angled feathering, afoot pump for easy inflation and a repair kit, just for reassurance if the worst should happen. At just 52 lbs it is also very easy to move around or store when not in use, in fact it only requires one person to carry it from vehicle to water or vice versa.

Overall the Maxxon Two Man Self Bailer is a very good kayak that can be used on all water types without any issues whatsoever. At 12 ft 10 long and 38 inches wide it should give you the space and comfort you won’t get with many other smaller inflatable kayaks. The Maxxon Two Man Self Bailer is a also a very fairly priced kayak and thanks to its rugged design should last you for many years, Maxxon spent so much time testing it that they really do stand behind their product. If you are looking for a long-lasting inflatable kayak that can be used on any water type and is easy to move around then this is a great choice!
